Mostly Outdoor

Portland green! One nice thing about moving to Portland and living in a house is that we get to have a yard and grow things in it.

Newborn Baby Girl

I had the pleasure of photographing this sweet girl yesterday, just 10 days old. I had forgotten how tiny and delicious newborns are. Despite my loud camera clicking in her face she was such a trooper. It's challenging to photograph newborns because you can't communicate with them in any way, but it is also easy because your subject matter is adorable.

Video Shoot

I can't take credit for the lighting in these photos. They were taken during a video shoot and it was Francisco Aliwalas vision!

Close Ups

The lens is quite a tool. It can make subjects appear closer, wider, and further than we perceive with the naked eye. Sometimes its fun to be a little silly and see how distorted you can make an image appear.

Avedon Lighting

The stark white backdrop of these images was a staple of photographer's Richard Avedon.

Self Portrait

Doing a self portrait session is not easy, but luckily I had the help of my husband. I set up the shot and he clicked the button!

Early Morning at The High Line

Early morning photoshoot at The High Line. It was cold and windy, but the sunrise was spectacular and we had the entire place to ourselves.
